Troy Rawlings will be the guest speaker at the United Women's Forum meeting February 13, 2008 10:00 a.m. at Lauralee Christensen's home. Troy was just named the 2008 Elected Public Official of the Year. Read below:Davis County Attorney Troy Rawlings was named the 2008 Elected Public Official of the Year at the third annual Star Spangled Awards Banquet & Fundraiser,hosted by the Davis County Republican Women on Saturday.Rawlings was elected by county officials, legislators and the members of DCRW for his impassioned work prosecuting child sex/abuse cases in the county for the past six years. Rawlings was also honored for allocating $34,500 from the county attorneys budget to help upgrade the Childrens Justice Center. At the dinner, he turned the spotlight to his wife Lisa saying that she and his four children were the inspiration behind his dedicated work. I couldn't do this job without the support of my wife and family Rawlings said, also thanking his father, county Clerk/Auditor Steve Rawlings and Troy's mother Jenell who were both in attendance.
