Dear friends of United Women's Forum,
In regards to the Hate Crime bill now under consideration in the Senate. The newspaper said today that Senator Hatch and Senator Bennett are possible swing voters - meaning they could go the other way. I also realized that now the bill is called "S 1105 (instead of HR 1592) - The Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2007" It apparently receives a new number in the Senate. I am learning along with all of you. Just to keep you updated. It will need your urgent attention. Call your senators and leave them with your opinions.

- The United Women’s Forum is the outgrowth of a neighborhood of women in Bountiful Utah who became very concerned with the growth of pornography, gay-rights issues, the threat against religious freedom and expression, and liberalism of moral values in the media and in our country. We banned together in the fall of 2006 to try to do something to make a difference. We were officially organized under the banner of United Women’s forum in March of 2007. We are dedicated to staying informed and presenting ways we can help existing national organizations and legislators that promote family, faith and freedom. Our Mission Statement is...to encourage and motivate women of faith to unite and stand together in promoting and defending moral government.
GUIDING PRINCIPLES
1. We are women of a firm faith in Jesus Christ and believe that it is His right to rule in the affairs of men.
2. We believe that the foundations of true liberty are found in Jesus Christ and His gospel. We also believe that our founding fathers were fully aware of this connection when they laid the foundations of our liberty.
3. We must understand the nature of the conflict and the issues that threaten our liberties.
4. We believe that if we are to succeed in this battle we must be faithful and fearless by putting on the whole armor of God. By doing this we will be strengthened and empowered.
5. We know that if we will hold fast to these governing principles and continue in diligence and in faith that God will give us victory.
